The jury of the Gabriele Münter Prize selected the shortlist for the 8th edition on 14.01.2025. Award announced in 2025. From the 1299 applications received, 40 female artists were first selected for the longlist and finally six female artists for the shortlist: Esra Ersen, Parastou Forouhar, Else Gabriel, Ana Prvački, Annegret Soltau and Hoda Tawakol.

Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) is awarding its Konrad-von-Soest Prize 2023 to the artist Esra Ersen, born in 1970. The Konrad von Soest Prize, which has been awarded since 1952, honours personalities for special achievements in the field of fine arts. The prize is endowed with 35,000 euros and is awarded to nationally or internationally active artists who are selected by a jury of experts every five years.
